  29. ClipMate remembers all text items that appear on the Clipboard.  You 
  30. can retrieve, edit, and append clipboard data, with the aid of functions
  31. such as Word Find, Magnify, Auto-Glue, Re-Flow Paragraph, and Print. 
  32. ClipMate saves the data to disk between sessions, and features both 
  33. short and long-term storage.  Easy-to-use Toolbar, and Windows Help.

  61. Installation Notes:
  62. -------------------
  63. To install ClipMate, just copy all of the
  64. Distribution Files to the directory of your
  65. choice.  It doesn't need to be in the path, and
  66. there are no funny environment variables to set.
  67. For the lack of anything better, create
  68. \windows\clipmate, and put the files there.

  70. Create an icon in the program manager with a
  71. Command Line that points to ClipMate.

  74. C:\windows\clipmate\clipmate.exe

  76. Effect on Your System:
  77. ----------------------
  78. The first time that you run ClipMate, it will
  79. create \windows\clipmate.ini.  WIN.INI is NOT 
  80. altered in any way, nor are any of your other
  81. system files.

  85. ClipMate will create and save the clipboard data
  86. into DEFAULT.CLM, or another .CLM file that you
  87. specify.

  90. De-Installation Notes:
  91. ----------------------
  92. These instructions are included in the event that you determine that
  93. ClipMate does not meet your needs, and therefore should be removed
  94. from your system.

  96. Before deleting ClipMate, you should review the contents of 
  97. the OVERVIEW screen in the on-line help.  If you have put ClipMate through
  98. a proper evaluation, then everything on that screen should be familiar to
  99. you.  If this is not the case, then you may want to spend some more time 
  100. evaluating ClipMate.

  102. In the event that you wish to remove ClipMate from your system, 
  103. erase the following files:

  128. Windows 3.x, running in Standard or Enhanced mode.
  129. VGA or better display.  Monchrome vga is ok.

  142. Norton Desktop for Windows users should upgrade to Norton Desktop 
  143. version 2.0.

  148.   Fixed intermittent problem with Magnification Window Sizing.
  149.   Manual Glue items are now titled << Manual Glue >> as they
  150.   are created, rather than <<CONCAT>>.  CONCAT was a carry-over
  151.   from pre 1.5 versions.

  154.   Minor enhancement to Find, Find Next:  They now search the
  155.   title of a clip item as well as the clip item itself.
  156.   Bug fix - under 1.152, ClipMate stopped listening to the Clipboard
  157.   when you opened another file.  
  158.   Bug fix - Find, Find Next caused GPF if there were any Clip Items
  159.   of zero length.

  163.   Minor change to Magnification Window.  Sometimes it came up blank
  164.   when opened.  This is now fixed.  The magnification window now 
  165.   remembers its position, even if it is not re-sized.

  167.   Auto-Glue.

  200.   On some XGA systems, the system font was so wide that it caused the
  201.   menu to wrap, which caused some of the controls to be hidden.  The
  202.   wide font is now detected, and the window is sized accordingly.

  205.   Fixed problem with Concatenate:
  206.   Bug in Windows causes negative values to sometimes be returned for
  207.   MAXAVAIL, which checks to see if there is enough contiguous free
  208.   memory to complete the concatenation.  Negative values are now ignored.
